It’s tough to keep Annie Wilco down. She lives life through a fun, flirty, and optimistic lense. It helps that she loves her job as an emergency department nurse in the small-town of North River; the town she grew up in, and where she gets to work alongside her best friends every day.
So, what’s the problem?
Annie has been financially supporting her dad, who is living in a memory care center with Alzheimer’s, and the bills are stacking up. Going broke isn’t something Annie planned for, and she needs a back-up plan to keep her dad safe and her life in motion.
Dr. Charlie Roberts’ life hasn’t gone according to his plan either, including becoming a parent to the infant daughter of his best friends. For four years, he has been building a life around his family of two, but with a growing little girl, he is realizing that raising a kid without support isn’t going to work.
When Annie accidentally opens up to Charlie about her predicament, he has a proposition that might solve both their problems.
After all, what could go wrong when two attractive co-workers decide to live together to ease their burdens?
